Dear Brother Knights,
There are so many items of interest that are
worthy of discussion.
To begin, I encourage everyone to please give a
fellow parishioner a chance to be part of our
Knights of Columbus council by merely asking
him.
Also, thank you brother Knights for your many
hours of fraternal activity this past year .
Let us all continue to
aspire to inspire before we expire.
February is the month of love, marriage, and
Valentine‘s day. However, it is also appropriate
to write about angels in this month‘s newsletter,
as explained by innocent little children.
To everyone, may the light of faith, the warmth
of heart, and the love of family be your
Valentine‘s gift to last eternally.
Finally, just to keep life in perspective, I am
finishing my Grand Knight article with a poem
that certainly reflects on the imperfections of
man and the forgiveness of our Lord.
I was shocked, and confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven‘s door.
Not by the beauty of it all
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, what‘s the deal?
I would love to hear your take.
How‘d all these sinners get up here?
God must of made a mistake.
And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber give me a clue.
Hush, child, He said, they‘re all in shock.
No one thought they‘d be seeing you.
