HOLY ROSARY COUNCIL #13579
We have chosen Dave Gross as our councils Knight of
the Month. Dave was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Both of his parents live there along with his younger sister
and her husband with their two children. His younger
brother and his wife live in Madison, Wisconsin. Dave’s
family often gets together when he’s home from the
seminary to spend some time together.
Dave attended the University of Michigan for his
Undergraduate degree, and Grand Valley State University
for his Masters in Education. After college he taught math
and physics at Grand Rapids Catholic Central High
School, which was also his alma mater. While there, Dave
also took on the role of technology coordinator, track, and
cross country coach.
Currently Dave is a seminarian at the University of St.
Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary studying for the
priesthood for the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
Dave has been a life long member of St. Stephen in
East Grand Rapids, where he serves as a Lector and
Eucharistic Minister. He has also been a volunteer youth
minister and has assisted in a variety of other activities
over the years.
Dave became a Knight June of this year. Belonging to
the Knights reminds him daily of the importance of prayer
and of living a lifestyle that is a good example for other
Catholics to follow. Although Dave has not been a Knight
for very long, he has quickly come to appreciate the
dedication that Knights have toward furthering the cause
of bringing more people to Christ through his church.
Our council is proud to name Dave Gross as our Knight
of the Month and our prayers are with him as he continues
his studies for the priesthood.
Respectfully Submitted,
